Podcast Equipment
These mics produce excellent sound quality. We love them!
Headsets are comfortable, inexpensive, and noise cancelling.
USB C to 3.5MM headphone jack adapter. This is used to hook up our mics to iPhones if we choose to record that way.
Ring Light: This light is used behind the main camera.
Ring lights are not used traditionally over here! They were originally and now we use them for different areas of the studio.
Mic Arm: We like these because they were inexpensive and user friendly. We were able to attach our mics!
4k Laptop Camera: Main camera.
USB C Hub used on our MacBooks to plug in equipment
Tripod: We use this to capture alternative angles & Nikki uses it for video recording.
Audio Interface: Our mics are plugged into this and it provides. a studio quality recording & cancels out noise.
Books
These are books that have helped our personal development journeys.
Dr. Sue Johnson’s, “Hold Me Tight” book. We are in EFT couples therapy- mentioned in episode 15.
Jake likes to pick his nose and it’s turned into a stim- we have tried to replace the behavior with something that feels similar in texture.
We purchased this for disney world but did not use it. We were concerned about elopement.
Autism Life
These are our favorite resources & supports that we have purchased that have been helpful for our son.
Sensory Swing for Kids with Special Needs (Hardware Included)
We have used this set to help prepare Jake with going to the dentist.
Similar as above — a set used to prepare him for the doctor.
The Joovy stroller has been amazing for Jake as he can sit or stand in the stroller.
Loads of sensory fun!
We use these when we place an air tag - these were great to be put in shorts while at Disney World.
